Description
- Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate
The Palladino 2019 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d’Alba is a richly textured and open-knit Nebbiolo. The priority here shifts to brawn, mouthfeel, and muscle, and the bouquet is rather dark and one-dimensional as a result, with ample blackberry and spice. The feeling I get from this Barolo is that it seeks to explore the power of Serralunga d’Alba. It is less interested in the nuances of Nebbiolo. In other words, it’s a wine of place and less of grape.
- James Suckling
Aromas of crushed walnuts and spices with notes of dry earth and subtle red fruit character. Medium- to full-bodied and chewy with chalky texture to the tannins and a stony, mineral character. Dry and polished on the finish. Try after 2026.
