NOSE : Without effort, dried blueberry and ripe plum are immediately front and center of an incredibly dynamic yet classic nose. A quick glass swirl reveals fresh lavender and cocoa, followed by Bing cherry and a hint of black pepper.
PALATE : The cascade of flavors and textures is prodigious as the palate meanders between rich, dark blackberry jam and lively, almost candied raspberry. The tannins, quite supple at present, add depth and breadth to a robust mouthfeel and converge on subtle earth and tobacco undertones that contrast and highlight the wine’s polished and focused acidity.
FINISH : Refined and well-integrated, the long, rich finish reveals hints of anise and cedar, which, along with ripe fig and incredibly fine tannin, add additional layers of elegance and grace.
PALATE : Green apple, candied orange peel, and baking spices anchor a panoply of vineyard flavors. Seamlessly interwoven between each is fresh, bright acidity along with incredible minerality and depth that slowly build texture and weight.
FINISH : The contrast between silky toast and sweet pear highlights an exceedingly rich finish that will only become more supple and dynamic with age.
Owned by the vintner (Laurence Féraudo) behind Domaine du Pégau. These wines are emphatically not Chateauneuf-du-Pape, nor are they priced that way. However yields have been kept to the absurdly low limits permitted in Chateauneuf, and the wines have all of the density of that great Appellation.
A rich, full, aromatic mid-palate dessert wine with a complement the clean finish. These are the perfect go-to whites that pair well with anything from fish to poultry, picnic fare to Indian curries.
The 8.3 hectares of vineyard spread over the east, south and south-west sides yield very individual wines, having a red colour with bluish reflections, and a subtle flavour of violet and peony. In the mouth it distinguishes itself with a lovely balance of silky tannins and wild red fruits such as wild strawberry or bilberry….
One of the few organic producers in Bordeaux, Jean De Fré took over this small farm in the 80s and converted to organics. The wines are delicious, beautifully made, clean, and super reasonably priced. Nice to see all these things from Bordeaux!
100% Rkatsiteli, organic
Wine is rich with tannins creating balance. A complex bouquet of ripe fruits, apricot, pear, and quince is mixed with honey and dried nuts tones which makes the wine soft and tasty. 6 months on the skins.
The Ciavolichs were wool merchants from Bulgaria who built the family’s first cellar in 1853, one of the oldest wine making structures in Abruzzo. Chiara Chiavolich, the current generation owner, comes from a family of strong women. She strives to keep agricultural, wine and historical heritage intact in order to pass it on to future generations through sustainability. Ciavolich wines are made with both contemporary and ancient vinification techniques, respectful of the original variety and territory producing wines that are straightforward, clean and with deep spirit.
The Aries is made with 100% Pecorino. These grapes come from one hectare of pergola abruzzese planted in 2000 on the Ciavolich’s Pianella estate and from one hectare of cordon-double guyot in Loreto Aprutino planted in 2011. The grapes are hand harvested at dawn and carried directly to the winery in small baskets where they are then pressed softly and fermented in stainless under controlled temperature. Once fermentation ends, a small part of the wine is moved into 2009 French oak tonneaux for three months. Then the wines are reunited and bottled and continue aging for about two months.

Divus was born in 1987 from the most ancient vines of the winery and proudly expresses the land where it comes from. Made with 100% Montepulciano; hand harvested; destemmed; crushed; and fermented in stainless under controlled temperature; then aged in old barrels and barriques for a year; then in bottles to present a fresh, tannic, soft bodied, mature wine that gets better with time.

This wine is made with 100% Montepulciano – hand harvested in October, destemmed and crushed, then fermented in stainless under controlled temperature. Aged in stainless for almost a year then six months in the bottle.
These Montepulciano vineyards are located in Pianella, next to a small natural lake. The proximity to the lake allows the roots of the vines to stay humid even during the dry season. This freshness is found in the wine as it is aged in stainless to preserve this natural characteristic.
